"Home Theater Projector Mounts Including Ceiling & Wall Mounting"
Home theater projector mounts relate to the position of the installation of the projector and can be ceiling mount, wall, or table mount.
The choices with respect to the different mounting positions are more or less determined by the image aspect ratio and native resolution of the projector screens, relative to room dimensions.
Likewise, the ideal mount would more or less be determined by the nature of the room wall which may be dark, or light, with smooth or uneven finish, all of which impact ambient light, besides reduced or increased screen contrast which varies with the degree of light reflected back from the walls to the screen. Ceiling mounts are generally seen to produce hi definition picture effect with good contrast ratios.
A possible explanation to this is the fact that with light getting reflected in angles equal to the angle of incidence, but in opposite directions the reflected light is directed to the floor, which either has low reflection capabilities, on account of its dark coloring and shades, or otherwise reflects back light towards the rear end which does not fall in the direct line of vision of the eye of the audience, or the screen, thus effectively reducing ambient light and unaffecting the contrast of the screen.
